ELECTIONS.
AN ACT to fix the compensation of Judges and Clerks of Elections in add
for Dorchester County. — 1827, ch. 16.

 

fie it enacted, by the General Assembly qf Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, that judges and clerks of
elections respectively in and for Dorchester county, shall per-
form the duties required by law now in force, and shall be al-
lowed, and entitled to receive for each election at which he
shall attend, and for making the returns, the sum of three dol-
lars per day, to be levied and paid as other county charges ;
any law, usage or custom to the contrary notwithstanding.

FENCES.

AN ACT to repeal an Act, entitled, an Act regulating Fences in Dorchester
and Caroline Counties, passed at December session, eighteen hundred
and thirty- three, chapter one hundred and nineteen, and the Supplement
thereto, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-four,
chapter two hundred and twenty- five, so far as they relate to Dorchester
County.— 1834, ch. 57.

Compensa-
tion fixed.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the act, entitled, an act regulating fences in Dorchester and
Caroline counties, passed at December session, eighteen bun-,
dred and thirty-three, chapter one hundred and nineteen, and
the supplement thereto, passed at December session, eighteen
hundred and thirty-four, chapter two hundred and twenty-five,
be and the same are hereby repealed, so far as they relate to
Dorchester county*

FER.RIES.

A SUPPLEMENT to the ACT, entitled, an additional Supplement to the Act/
entitled, an Act to regulate Public Ferries.— 1825, ch. 5.

Repeal.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the justices of the levy court of Dorchester county, are
hereby vested with all the powers and authority given to the
county court of Dorchester, by the act to which this is a sup-
plement, passed at November session, seventeen hundred and
ninety-one ; and that after the passage of this act, the powers
of the said county court, with regard to making contracts for
keeping public ferries at the county expense, is hereby abro*
gated and made void.
