CRIER OF LEVY COURT, &c.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the
commissioners of the tax of Caroline county, their clerk, the
county collector, or such other person or persons as may have
charge of any of the books, papers or money, or any or either
of them, to deliver the said papers, books or money, to the levy
court of Caroline county, or their order, whenever they shall

nalty of one hundred dollars for refusal or neglect to do so,
which penalty shall be recovered by indictment in the name
of the state, for the use of Caroline county.

this act, the levy court of Caroline county shall be composed of
five members and no more.

AN ACT to authorize the Justices of the Orphans and Levy Courts of
Caroline County, to appoint their respective Criers. — 1823, ch 23.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the justices of the orphans and levy couits for Caroline
county respectively, be, and they are hereby authorized to
appoint their criers from and after the first day of March next.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the levy court for Caroline
county is hereby authorized and directed to levy on the asses-
sable property of said county, annually, a sum of money for the
use of the criers aforesaid, not exceeding fifty cents per day
for every day that the register of wills and clerk of the county
court shall certify that the said crier acted as such.

CRIER OF ORPHANS COURT.
AN ACT to authorize the Justices of the Orphans Court of Caroline County
to appoint their Crier — 1831, ch 97.
