MILITIA.

and tenth days of March in each and every year, in regimental
orders, to be published in at least three daily newspapers, give
notice of the time and place of parade as appointed by lav, and
designated in division orders, and also of the place at which
the court of appeal for his regiment shall meet, on the second

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That the commanding officer of
each regimental in the first light division, shall, within five
days after receiving the proceedings of a regimental court of
appeal, where any fines are imposed, place, or cause to be
placed in the hands of each commanding officer of a company
in his regiment, a list of the fines imposed on the members of
that company, certified by said commanding officer of regiment
to be a correct list, and said commanding officer of a company
as aforesaid, shall, within five days after receiving said list of

SEC. 14. And be it enacted, That the summons required by
the twelfth section of the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-
five, chapter two hundred and ninety-five, shall warn the party
summoned that he is liable to an execution against him for
militia fines, at the suit of the state of Maryland, for the use of
the first light division or the third division, as the case may be,

and the justice of the peace shall receive for issuing, and the
constable for serving the said summons, the same fees re-
spectively, they now are or may from time to time, be entitled
to for issuing or serving a summons for a witness.

the aforesaid divisions, earlier than the first day of May, shall if
published or performed on or before that day, be as effectual
