SEC. 19. And be it enacted, That the governor and council

proceed to fill up any and all vacancies which may be reported
to them by the adjutant-general, among the commissioned offi-
cers of the third division, and the adjutant-general is hereby
directed to make said report to the governor and council, on or
before the day last aforesaid.
SEC. 20. Repealed by 1837, ch. 349, sec. 17.

SEC. 21. And be it enacted, That so much of the act of
eighteen hundred and twenty-three, chapter one hundred and
eighty-eight, or of any other act as authorizes the second re-
giment of riflemen, the fifty-first regiment of infantry, and the
twelfth regiment of cavalry, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 22. And be it enacted, That any clause, matter or thing
in the act of December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-
three, chapter one hundred and eighty-eight, or in the supple-
ment thereto, or in the several militia laws of this state, which
shall be found inconsistent with, or repugnant to the provisions
of this act, are hereby repealed, so far as relates to the city of

Baltimore ; Provided however, that whenever the militia of the
city of Baltimore, or any part thereof, shall be called into actual
service, they shall in all respects be subject to the like regula-
tions and orders, as the other militia of the state.

SEC. 23. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act shall be
construed to extend to any part of the militia of this state, ex-
cept within the limits of the city of Baltimore, nor shall it be

That the parades of the First Light Division of Maryland Vo-
lunteers shall hereafter take place as follows: — regimental in-
spection, first Monday in May, two o'clock, p. M. ; brigade
parade, first Monday in June, two o'clock, p. M.; company
