ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY.

said commissioners, by order of the said commissioners, forth-
with deliver over to the said clerk of the commissioners, all the
books, accounts, papers and documents, belonging or in any
manner appertaining to the levy court of said county; and shall
annually, on or before the first Monday of March, furnish to
and lay before the said commissioners, all copies of such lists,
accounts, papers and documents, as may be useful and neces-
sary to the said commissioners in ascertaining the county
charges, and according to the directions which he may from
time to time receive from the said commissioners, for which ser-
vices he shall have and receive such fees as by law he is enti-
tled for like services ; and in case said clerk of Anne Arundel
county court shall neglect or refuse to comply with any of the
provisions or requisitions of this act, when called on by the said
commissioners, or the clerk thereof, by their order thereafter, he
shall, for every such neglect or refusal, forfeit and pay to the
said commissioners, for the use of the county, the sum of one
hundred dollars, to be recovered by indictment or action in
Anne Arundel county court ; and the clerk to the commission-
ers of the tax shall in like manner be subject to the same penal-
ties for neglect or refusal to deliver over to the clerk of the said
commissioners, all books, papers or documents, which may
belong or in anywise appertain to the board of commissioners
of the tax for Anne Arundel county.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted. That the said commissioners shall
be entitled to receive two dollars per day each, for every day
they shall necessarily attend to the duties of his office, and two
dollars for every twenty miles he may have to travel to the
place of meeting of the said commissioners.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That all suits at law or in equity
which may be pending at the time of the passage of this act, by
or against the justices of the levy court of said county, shall
be carried on in like manner, and have the same legal effect^
either in favour of or against the commissioners provided for by
this act, as if such suit or suits had been instituted by or
against the said commissioners.

Repeal.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That so much of any acts of
assembly as may be contrary to, or inconsistent with, this act,
be, and the same are hereby repealed.

AN ACT to regulate the manner of Granting out County Pensions for
Anne Arundel County,— 1829, ch. 63.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the power of granting out county pensions for Anne
Arundel county, be, and the same is hereby vested in the com-
missioners for said county.

Prohibited
to grant to.

SEC. 2 And be it enacted^ That no one shall be placed upon
the list of out county pensioners, for Anne Arundel county,
