of the company officers of their respective regiments, battalions,
or squadrons, previous to the fifteenth day of September next,
at some convenient place within the bounds of their proper
regiments, battalions, or squadrons, who, or a majority of them,
when so met, shall revise, alter, and fix the limits of their com-
pany districts, as to them may appear right and necessary ; and
in case of any alteration being then so made, the commanding
officer of the regiment, extra battalion, or squadron, shall ap-
prove thereof, and immediately transmit a return of the same,
as is herein before provided.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That if the commanding officer
of any division, brigade, regiment, battalion, squadron, or com-
pany, shall neglect or refuse to give orders for assembling his
division, brigade, regiment, battalion, squadron, or company, or
the officers thereof, when thereto lawfully commanded by his
superior officer, or at any time appointed therefor by this act, or
any law of this state, or shall, neglect or refuse to attend any
meeting that shall be ordered as is herein before provided, or in
virtue of any law of this state, he shall forfeit and pay such
fine as is or may be prescribed for such offence ; or, if none be
prescribed, he shall be punished by a fine not exceeding two
