Function: To license and maintain a register of qualified land surveyors and
professional engineers practicing in the State.

Board of Examiners and Registration of Architects

07.19.00.01

Established By: Md. Code Ann., art. 43, § 517.

Head: Chairman designated by the governor.

Members: 5 members, professionally qualified, as prescribed in law.

Term: 5 years, staggered.

Employees: 2 employees, one full-time and one part-time.

Function: To review all matters pertaining to the registration of architects
in the State.

State Board of Chiropractic Examiners

07.22.00.01

Established By: Md. Code Ann., art. 43, § 499.
Head: President selected by the Board.

Term: 3, appointed by the governor, from a list of names, including the
incumbent, submitted by the Maryland Chiropractic Association.
Each must be a resident and have practiced in Maryland for five
consecutive years.

Members: 3 years, staggered.

Removal: No statutory provision.

Employees: None.

Function: To examine applicants for licenses, investigate complaints, and
examine schools of chiropractics in the State.
