consent of the Senate.

Employees: 1 executive secretary, appointed by the Board.

Function: To evaluate psychologists wishing to practice in Maryland and
certify those meeting specified requirements.

Head: President.

Members: 5, appointed by the governor; each is appointed from a list of
five names submitted by the Maryland State Nurses Association.

Term: 3 years, staggered.

Employees: 5 employees.

Function: To examine and license registered and practical nurses in the
State; supervise nursing schools in the State.

Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors

Head: Chairman elected by the Board.

Members: 5, appointed by the governor; 4 must be professional engineers
and 1 a practicing land surveyor, as nominated by specific pro-
fessional groups.

Term: 5 years, staggered.

Employees: 4 employees, including an executive secretary appointed by the
Board.
