Head: Chairman elected by Council.

Member: 5 members appointed by governor (certain qualifications
imposed).

Term: 5 years, staggered.

Removal: Governor may remove any member for inefficiency, neglect of
duty, or misconduct in office.

Employees: Secretary appointed by Council—need not be a member.

Function: Recommend to Board of Health rules and regulations for
control of air pollution, hold hearings, and review policies and
programs.

Radiation Control Advisory Board

Established By: Md. Code Ann., art. 43, § 686—under State Board of Health.

Head: Chairman appointed by governor.
