I nominate for your advice and consent, Peter W. Grain,
of Baltimore eity, for Associate Justice of the Court of Ap-
peals of Maryland, to fill the vacancy occasioned by the de-
cease of the Hon. S. Morris Cochran.

Said nomination was referred to the Committee on Execu-
tive nominations.
