Mr. Viekers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably a bill, entitled An Act, to authorize and
empower the Trustees of the Parsonage property in Chester
Town, of the Methodist Protestant Church of Kent Circuit, to
sell and convey certain real estate in said Town;
Which was read the first time.
The bill, entitled An Act, to release the estate of Joseph
L. Parvis, late of Caroline county, from liabilities to the
State incurred by securityship on the bond of Alexander
Kotts, of Caroline county,
Was, on motion of Mr. Earle postponed.
Mr. Mules, by general consent, reported favorably from the
Committee on Corporations, a bill, entitled An Act, to incor-
porate the Trustees of the Methodist Protestant Sunday
School, of Chester Town ;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably a bill, entitled An Act, to incorporate the Chester
Town Water Company;
Which wag read the first time.
Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill, entitled An Act, to incorporte the Real
Estate Fire Insurance Company, of Baltimore, reported it
with the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
After the word "notice," in sixth line, section 3, insert
as follows : " at least ten days daily prior to the time for hold-
ing the election of directors of said company, in three news-
papers published in the city of Baltimore." Striking out all
after the word " notice," in sixth line, section 3, to the word
"call," in seventh line, same section. Fourth line, 14th
section, after the word " thereafter," add " the General As-
sembly reserving the right to alter, amend or modify any or
all of the provisons of this Act at its pleasure.
Amendments adopted, and bill read the second time.
On motion of Mr. Kimmell,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Kimmell, Young andFrazier
to report a bill to authorize and require the Comptroller to
correct certain errors in the distribution of the " Free School
Fund," and to make appropriation therefor.
