sent to some of the amendments to the appropriation bill.
The Senate have declined to recede from their amendments/
and respectfully desire a committee of conference. We have
appointed Messrs. Vickers, Compton and Tome, on the part
of the Senate.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

Mr. Stephenson, from the Committee on Corporations, to
which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to establish and
incorporate an Asylum for the Deaf and Dumb of the State
of Maryland,

Reported it without amendment;

The bill was then read a second time.
On motion by Mr. Bowie,

The senate adjourned until 8 o'clock, P. M.

FRIDAY, March 22—8 o'clock P. M.

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 65 of article 19
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset county, relating
to Justices of the Peace and Constables, and to amend and
re-enact the same;

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
