Annapolis, March 22, 1867.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received from your Honorable Body, the House
bill entitled, an Act making appropriations for the support of
the Government for the year ending the first day of January,
1868, with proposed amendments. We respectfully inform
you that the House has concurred in amendments marked
Nos. 1, 2, 3, 6 1/2, 9, 12, and non-concurred in those marked
4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 13. We respectfully request you to
recede from said amendments.

Mr. Earle moved that the Senate refuse to recede from its
amendments;
