A communication was received from His Excellency, Gov-
ernor Swann, by the hands of Peter Leary, Jr., Esq., Pri-
vate Secretary, endorsed on "Executive business."
Mr. Stevenson moved that the Senate take up for consider-
ation the bill entitled, an Act to appropriate the sum of
twenty-five hundred dollars or as much thereof as may be
necessary to the rebuilding of the Hay Scales in the city of
Baltimore,
Determined in the affirmative.
