to, relating to the payment of bounties to volunteers and
and drafted men of this State, being under consideration,

The Committee on Judicial Proceedings submitted the fol-
lowing amendment :

Amend section 1, line 4, after 1864, by adding "and also
such other persons who entered the service or furnished sub-
stitutes who were mustered into the service of the United
States and credited to the call of the President of the 19th
December, 1864;"

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Tome submitted the following amendment:

Add at end of section 1 :

"Provided said volunteer and drafted men have been regu-
larly mustered by a duly authorized officer of the United
States and accredited to the quotas of the State of Maryland ;"

Which was adopted.

The bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays as follows:

Chamber.

Mr. Earle moved that further proceedings under the call
be dispensed with.

On the question being put, it was
