BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
March 22, 1867.

Gentlemen of the Senate:

A committee of this House having investigated the condi-
tion of the boundary line on the Eastern Shore of the Chesa-,
peake Bay, between the States of Virginia and Maryland,
find it unsettled and unmarked for several miles at the east
and west termini of said line. We have received informa-
tion that the Legislature of Virginia has appointed a joint
committee of their two Houses to meet a similar committee
from the Legislature of Maryland to settle and adjust the
said boundary line, this work to be submitted to the Legisla-
tures of the said States respectively for approval or rejection,
and we have adopted the recommendation of the committee of
this House to appoint two members of this House and one of
the Senate, to meet the Virginia committee for the purposes
aforesaid; and we have appointed Messrs. Isaac D. Jones and
William J. Aydelott on the part of this House, and request
your Honorable body to name a member of your body on said
committee.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills :

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal sub-sections 179 and 180,
with section 2 of chapter 66 of January session 1866, and to
re-enact the same with amendments;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Turner Avenue
Company;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate Sheffer Lodge No. 25
Independent Order of Good Templars of Cumberland, Mary-
land;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 18 of article 73 of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled, "Penitentiary,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore City
Grain Elevator and Storage Company;
