Mr. Philpot submitted the following amendment:

After the word "State," in line 12 under "Miscellaneous,"
.insert "to the Board of School Commissioners of Baltimore
county, and the Board of School Commissioners of Baltimore
city each the sum of eight thousand three hundred and
wventy-six dollars and forty cents, sixteen thousand seven
hundred and fifty-two dollars and eighty cents, in full pay-
ment of the amount due said county and city on account of
errors in the distribution of the Free School Fund, from 1862
to 1866, inclusive;"

Which was read and rejected.

The bill was then read the second, and by special order the
third time, three-fourths concurring, and passed by yeas and
nays as follow :

referred the bill entitled, an Act making appropriations for
the support of the GoTernmen for the year ending on the 1st

Reported it with the following amendments:

On page 1, line 10, for salary to private Secretary to Govr
ernor, strike out "eleven hundred" and insertthe words "one
thousand" before the word "dollars."

On page 1, line 12, after the word "dollars" insert "for
Assistant Librarian one thousand dollars."

On page 2, line 15, strike out "five" and insert "nine"
before the word "hundred" for State Reporter.

On page 2, line 4, strike out the words "twenty-five hun-
dred" and insert "fifteen" before the word "hundred," for
pensions, &c.

On page 3, line 5, strike out "$548.11" and insert
"$448.11," for ground rent.
