For contingent fund for Adjutant General's office, strike
out the whole item.

For expense of publishing list of officers in default, strike
out the word "two" before the word "thousand" and insert
"one."

For contingent fund of Commissioner of Land Office strike
out the word "four" after the word "land office" and insert
the word "three."

. Amend appropriation bill, 1868. On page 4, near the bottom
strike out the words "one thousand two hundred dollars"
and insert the words "six thousand dollars."

On page 6, between the words "and thousand" strike out
the word "ten" and insert the word "five" so as to read "five
thousand."

On page 7, under the head "miscellaneous," strike out the
word "eight" and insert the word "five."

On page 7. For messenger to the Governor, and after the
word "Governor" and before the word "hundred," strike out
the word "seven," and insert the word "five" before the
word "hundred."

On page 7. After the word "emigration" and before the
word "dollars" strike out the words "one thousand dollars"
and insert the words "five hundred dollars," under miscel-
laneous and immigration.

Under the head of Legislative Department, and at the end
of the Legislative article, add "to pay the expenses of the
Constitutional Convention, including the per diem of mem-
bers, officers, and employees, reporters, printing, stationary
and incidental expenses, one hundred and twenty-five thou-
sand dollars."

On page 4. After the words "State Librarian fifteen hun-
dred dollars," insert the words "for Assistant Librarian the
sum of one thousand dollars.''

Under the head of Schools, page 3, strike out all after the
word "laws;"

Mr. Stephenson submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add the following as section 4: And be it enacted that so
much of Article 2 of the Act entitled, "an Act to aid in the
re-organization of St. John's College, chapter 101, passed
February 7th, 1866, which appropriates twelve thousand dol-
lars annually to said College, commencing on the first day of
