On page 4, line 2, insert "for contingent fund for Lieuten-
ant Governor one thousand dollars," to come in after the
words "six thousand dollars."

On page 4, line 10, strike out the word "two" and iosert
the word "eight" before the word "dollars."

On page 4, line 15, after the word "State" strike out the
word "two" and insert the word "one" before thf word
"thousand."

On page 4, line 17, strike out the whole of line 17, relating
to Adjutant General contingent fund.

On page 5, line 6, strike out the words "to the Directors
of the Maryland Institute for the use and benefit of the School
of Design, two thousand and nine hundred dollars."

On page 6, line 6, strike out the word "seven" after the
word "Governor" and insert the word "five."

On page 6, line 8, strike out the word "eight" before the
word "hundred" and insert the word "five" before the word
"hundred."

On page 6, line 10, strike out the words "one thousand
dollars" and insert the words "five hundred dollars," relating
to immigration.

Which were read and adopted.

The bill was then read the second, and by special order
the third time, and passed by yeas ani nays as follow :

Mr. Henkle moved to reconsider the vote by which the fol-
lowing amendment was adopted:

To the general appropriation bill, "And be it enacted that
so much of section 2 of the Act entitled, an Act to aid in the re-
organization of St. John's College, chapter 101, passed Feb-
ruary 7th, 1866, which appropriates twelve thousand dollars
annually to said college, commencing on the first day of June,
1868, for five years," be and the same is hereby repealed. "
