Mr. Billingslea moved a call of the Senate.
The Sergeant-at-Arms was sent to inform the absent Sena-
tors that their attendance was required in the Senate.

On motion by Mr. Vickers,
Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.

The question upon the adoption of the message submitted
by Mr. Vickers was determined in the affirmative by yeas and
nays as follow:

Said message was then sent to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act making appropriations for
the support of the government for the year ending on the
first day of January, 1868, reported it with the following
amendments:

For Private Secretary for Governor strike out the words
"eleven hundred" and insert the words "one thousand" be-
fore the word dollars.

For salary of State Reporter strike out "five" before the
word "hundred" and insert "nine."

For ground rent, p. 3, strike out "$548.11" and insert
$448.11.

Amend by inserting after the word "dollars" in the second
line the following: "To the Lieutenant Governor one thou-
sand dollars."

Strike out for augmentation of library the word "two" and
insert the word "seven" before the word "hundred."
