A bill entitled, an Act to empower the County Commis-
sioners of Howard and Queen Anne's counties to levy certain
sums of money for the benefit of the Public Schools of said
counties;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

A bill entitled, an Act to establish another court for the
city of Baltimore, as provided for by the 41st section of the
4th article of the constitution;

Wbich was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mitttee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 31, 32, 33, 34, 35,
36, 37, 38, 39 and 40 of article 6 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral laws, entitled, "Apprentices;"

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to establish and incorporate an,
Asylum for the Deaf and Dumb of the State of Maryland;

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Hancock and
Pennsylvania Railroad Company;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal the Act of 1864, chapter
2(57, providing for a State subscription to "Wingate's Mary-
land Register," and tore-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on finance.

A bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Treasurer, upon
the warrant of the Comptroller, to pay J. W. Blackburn ar-
rears of salary as chief clerk in Tobacco Waiehouse No. 2;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

A bill entitled an Act to pay William Schley and M. Fra-
zier for legal services;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

Mr. Tome submitted the following :

Ordered, That the appropriation bills bo made the special
order for this evening at 8 P. M.;

Which WAS read and adopted.

The bill entitled an Act to repeel sections 37, 38, 39, 40 of
article 56 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
