Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns it shall stand ad-
journed to 10 o'clock, A. M., to-morrow.
Mr. Jump submitted the following :

Ordered, That House bill No. 73, entitled, an Act to alter
and amend the Act of 1865, relating to "Public Instruction,"
be made the special order of the day for to-morrow (21st) at
2 o'clock.

The question on the adoption of the order was determined
in the negative by yeas and nays as follow :

Ordered, That inasmuch as it will require more than
twice the amount of labor to index the laws of this session
as those of the last, the compensation, therefore, ought to be
increased, and that the report of the joint committee on print-
ing, adopted on the 25th day of January last, by the Senate,
be so amended as to read "four hundred," instead of "two
hundred dollars."

Which was read and rejected.

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Baltimore Ma-
rine Sectional Dock Company ;

Being under consideration.

The Committee on Corporations submitted the following
