Gentlemen of the Senate:
We respectfully return to yonr honorable body, the Senate
bill entitled, "an Act to repeal the 4th, 7th, 15th, 16th,
20th, 26th, 213th and 222nd sections of the 4th article of the
Code of Public Local Laws relating to the city of Baltimore,
and the election of Mayor and members of the City Council
of said city, for the purpose of directing your attention to
alterations in the original bill, that the journal of your
House contains no record of having been done in open ses-
sion. These alterations are as follows: In the manuscript
bill as it appears by comparison with printed bill No. 33, in
the 4th section, line 4, the words "every year," have been
altered so as to read "every second year," and other altera-
tions.

tors that their attendance was required in the Senate Cham-
ber.

Your message, inquiring whether the word "second," be-
fore the word "year, in the 4th line of section , waa in the
bill to repeal the 4th, 7th, 15th, 16th, 20th, 26th, 213th and
222nd sections of the 4th article of the Code of Public Local
Laws relating to the city of Baltimore, and the election of
Mayor and members of the City Council of said city, has been
received. The Engrossing Clerk of our House assured us
that the said word "second," was in the said bill at the place
