Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill to repeal the Act of 1865, chapter 67, en-
titled, "An Act to regulate and make uniform the fees of
Constables," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Vickers,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to incorporate the Trustees of the Methodist Pro-
testant Sunday School of Chester Town.

Mr. Mules submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

January 19, 1867.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We respectfully propose, with your concurrence, the ap-
pointment of a Joint Select Committee, to consist of three
members of the Senate, and four members of the House of
Delegates, to ascertain what legislation is necessary to keep
the harbor of Baltimore free from obstruction by ice. We
have named upon the part of the Senate, Messrs. Mules, Kim-
mel and Frazier.

A. GASSAWAY.

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to and sent to the House of Dele-
gates.

On motion of Mr. Stirling, it was

Ordered, That when the Senate adjourn to-day, it stands
adjourned until Monday morning at 11 o'clock.

On motion of Mr. Vickers,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill to repeal the Act of 1865, chapter 79, en-
titled, "An Act to regulate and make uniform the fees of Jus-
tices of the Peace, and to re-epact the same with amend-
ments.

On motion of Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a bill for the relief of Geo. W. Morgan, of St. Mary's county.
—— Clark, of Howard county, and the heirs of James All-
nut, of Calvert county, for services rendered the State, as To-
bacco Commissioners of the State.

On motion of Mr. Vickers,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judicial Proceedings
to introduce a bill to empower the Trustees of the quarterly
conference of Choptank Mission of the Methodist Protestant
Church, to hold and convey real and personal estate.
