Mr. Earle from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of
money for the benefit of The Union Orphans' Asylum of Bal-
timore city;

Reported it without amendment.

The bill was then read a second time.
On motion by Mr. Bowie,

The unfinished business of yesterday, was postponed for a
few minutes.

Mr. Earle from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to pay to Stephen R. Gore,
late Collector of taxes, in Carroll county, monies erroneously
paid into the State Treasury;

Reported it without amendment.
The bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Earle from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to repeal the 1st section of
an Act to provide for the general valuation and assessment of
property in this State, chapter 137. passed Feb. 5, 1866, and
re-enact the same with amendments;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Was read the third time by special order, three-fourths con-
