On motion by Mr. Billingslea,

It was Ordered, That it be entered on the journal, that
had the Senator from Carroll (Mr. Billingslea,) been present
yesterday when the vote was taken "to make valid the inden-
tures and contracts of apprenticeship, executed since the first
day of January, 1855," he would hare voted in the negative.

On motion by Mr. Earle,

It was Ordered, That the Committee on Claims issue their
certificate to Thomas A. Mitchell, for three days per diem,
for services rendered as door-keeper, under order of the Pres-
ident of the Senate, Pro. tem. The door-keeper being de-
tained from his place by sickneses.

On motion by Mr. Henkle,

It was Ordered, That S. L. Boothe, door-keeper to the Sen-
ate, be allowed pay from the first of the session.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act in relation to
the sale of the real estate of James D. Wilds, deceased, late
of the State of Delaware ;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to repeal sec-
tions 73, 77, 82, 90, 91 and 92, of the Act of 1866, chapter
47, relating to the town of Frostburg, in Allegany county,
and re-enact the same with amendments, and also to add an
additional section thereto;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill, entitled, an Act to add addition-
al sections to Article 30 of the Code of General Laws, in rela-
tion to embezzlement and frauds;

Reported it without amendment,
The bill was then read the second time.
