670 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 19,

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal the 29th section of Article
5th, of the Code of Public Laws, relating to appeals, and to
re-enact the same with an amendment;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Mr Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the 1 red-
erick and Pennsylvania line Rail Road Company;

Reported it with the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In section 15, line 11, strike out the word "twelve" and
insert in lieu thereof, the word "twenty;

In same section, line 16, strike out the word "twelve" and
insert in lieu thereof, the word "twenty;

In same section, line 18, strike out the word "three" and
insert in lieu thereof, the word "four;"

In same'section, line 19, strike out the word "six" and in-
sert in lieu thereof, the word "twelve;"

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr Mules from the Committee on Corporations to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate Aia col-
lege, Maryland;

Reported it without amendment;

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr Mules from the Committee on Corporation to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Oak-
land Lumber Manufacturing and Mining Company;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read a second time.

Mr Mules from the Committee on Corporations to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Ridge Passenger Railway Company;

Reported it without amendment;

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to. incorporate the Bal-
timore Marine Sectional Dock Company;

Reported it with the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend section 4, by adding at the end thereof, the words
p"rovided that nothing therein contained shall conflict with
the laws of the United States, or of the State of Maryland;
