Mr. Vickerg, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to repeal an
Act entitled, an Act to authorize Mrs. Margaret Sherwood,
wife of Hugh Sherwood, of Talbot county, to close a public
road leading through her lands in said county, passed at the
January session of the General Assembly, 1864, chapter 323;

Reported it without amendment;

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to repeal the
107th section of article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Allegany county, relating to the Superintendent of the Na-
tional Road ;

Reported it without amendment;

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 25 of article
38, of the Code of Public General Laws, title, Fees of Offi-
cers, sub-title Notaries Public, and to re-enact the same with
amendments ;

Which was read the first time.

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal sub-section 5 of chapter
194, of Laws of Maryland, passed January session, 1865, en-
titled, an Act to repeal and re-enact sections 5, 26 and 27,
of an Act passed January session, 1864, chapter 346, en-
titled, an Act to amend article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, relating to the leasing of the State Tobacco Ware-
houses and the inspection of tobacco, and to re-enact the same,
also, to repeal sections 9, 11, 12, 15, 17, 18, 19, 22, 25;
26, 27 and 28, of chapter 346, of Laws of Maryland, passed
January session, 1864, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, and to annex additional sections to come in after sec-
tion 50 of said Act;

On motion by Mr. Compton,

Said bill was referred to Messrs. Compton, Bowie, Mac-
kail, Maddox and Young.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing message :
