Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to refund a sum of money
paid into the State Treasury erroneously, by John V. Lowe,
of Talbot county, one of the collectors of taxes for said conn-

ty;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported a bill
entitled, an Act for the relief of St. Mary's Female Seminary;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to repeal an
Act entitled, an Act to prevent the sale of spirituous or fer-
mented liquors, on or near the line of the Washington coun-
ty Rail Road, during the time of its construction;

Reported it without amendment,

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal an Act entitled, an Act
to add a new section to article 4, of the Code of Public Local
Laws authorizing the Judge of the Superior Court to employ
a Stenographer, passed on the 7th of March, 1864, chapter
280, to re-enact the game with amendments, and to insert ad-
ditional provisions for the appointment of Stenographers for
the Court of Common Pleas, and the Orphan's Court of the
city of Baltimore;

Reported it without amendment,

to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to amend and
re-enact section 3, of article 98, of the Code of Public Gene-
ral Laws entitled, Wild Fowl, so as to legalize the shooting
from sink boats and sneak boats by the residents of Hopper's
Island, in Dorchester county, over the waters adjacent
hereto;

Reported it without amendment,

to whicu was referred the bill entitled, an Act to authorize
Thomas McCrea, Jr., of Howard county, to act in the double
capacity of Justice of the Peace and Assistant Assessor ;
