600 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 15,

A bill entitled, an Act to compensate David C. Blockson
and J. W. Bryant, Esqrs., for services rendered the State in
prosecuting in the cases of State vs. William B. Paca and
Sons, for the murder of John P. Paca, W. and Alfred Jones,

Endorsed "rejected, for want of a Constitutional majority."

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Harford and Ce-
cil Boom Company,

Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ment,"

"One fourth of the proceds may be retained by the Com-
pany, and the remainder paid in the Treasury for the use of
the School Fund;"

The amendment was read and adopted;

The bill as amended was then read and passed by yeas and
nays as follow:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 15, 1867.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

In compliance with an Act passed at the present session of
this General Assembly, we propose, with the concurrence of
your honorable body, to proceed to-day at 12 o'clock to elect,
by the joint meeting of the two houses of the General Assem-
bly, three persons to constitute the Board of Police Commis-
sioners of the City of Baltimore.

We have nominated on the part of the House, Lefevre Jar-
rett, James E. Carr and William H. B. Fusselbaugh, and
respectfully invite your honorable body to meet us in the hall
of the House of Delegates at 12 o'clock this day, to proceed
to said election.
