The question on the adoption of the amendment to the
amendment was

Determined in the Negative.

The amendment submitted by Mr. Compton was then
adopted.

Mr. Compton submitted the following amendment:

Amend section 4, line 9, by striking out all after the word
'hundred,' in said line, and substituting the following : "dol-
lars in such counties as do not contain more than 4 Commis-
sioner districts; and in such counties as contain more than
4 Commissioner districts, 20 dollars for every additional dis-
ttict not to exceed $400;

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Henkle submitted the following amendment:

Amend 5th section, 4th line by inserting "1" instead of
"2."

Which was read and rejected.

Mr. Compton submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 5, line 3, strike out May, and insert "October;"

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Compton submitted the following amendment :

Section 11, strikeout all after the word enacted., and in-
sert the following : That this Act shall go into effect ab the
end of the fiscal year;

Which was read and adopted.

The bill was then read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Compton,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follow:
