of Delegates, be requested to address a note to the Honorable
Philip Francis Thomas, informing him of his election to the
United States Senate for a term of six years from the 4th of
March, of this current year.

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 6, of Article 35,
of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the attend-
ance of judges of elections,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That His
Excellency, the Governor be, and he is hereby requested to is-
sue a commission in the usual form to the Hon. Philip Francis
Thomas as Senator to represent this State in the Congress of
the United States for the term of six years from the 4th day
of March, 1867.

Which was read the first time, and
On motion by Mr. Earle,

Was read the second by special order the third time, three-
fourths concurring, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
