Mr. Tome from the Select Committee, reported a bill en-
titled an Act, to appropriate a sum of money to erect a monu-
ment over the remains of Roger B. Taney, late Chief Judge
of the Supreme Court of the United States;

Which was read the first time.

The bill entitled an Act, to add additional sections to the
Code of Public General Laws, title Small Pox;
Was read the second time, and
On motion of Mr. Tome, was

Made the order of the day for to-morrow at 1 o'clock, P.
M.

On motion of Mr. Compton,

The bill entitled an Act, to authorize the levy of an addi-
tional School tax in Washington county;

Was re-committed to the Committee on Education.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably the bill entitled an Act, granting the as-
sent of the Legislature to a legacy bequeathed by codicil to
the last will and testament of Charlotte E. Graham, late of
Cecil county, deceased, to the Trustees of Zion Church, at
Cecilton, in said county;

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, by unanimous consent, reported favorably the
bill to provide for the speedy hearing by the Court of Appeals
