554 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 13,

WEDNESDAY, March 13, 1867.

Mr. Mules presented the petition of George S. Brown,
Hamilton Easter, Enoch Pratt and others, in opposition to
the shooting of wild fowl from sink boats;

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Mules, Bowie and
Holton.

On motion by Mr. Davis, of Caroline, it was
Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal, that Mr.
Davis, of Washington, is detained from the Senate by indis-
position.

Mr. Compton, from the Committee on Education, reported
unfavorably on the application of the President and Secretary
of, the State association of Commissioners, asking for a subscrip-
tion by the State for fifty copies of their Educational Journal;
The report was adopted.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Finance, reported un-
favorably on the memorial of Leoni P. Bowland, praying an
appropriation of $3000 for the use and improvement of Divid-
ing Creek, in Somerset and Worcester counties;

The report was read and adopted.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to authorize Grason Eichel-
berger, State Bounty Commissioner for Frederick county, to
pay Levin H. Deitrick, administrator of William H. Bow-
man, certain bounty;

Reported it without amendment.

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Earle, from the Select Committee, reported a bill en-
titled, an Act to incorporate the Methodist Episcopal Church
in Queen Anne's couniy, known as Ebenezer Church;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Mules from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to amend and alter the
charter of the city of Annapolis;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Mules from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Uni-
ted States Real Estate Mining and Manufacturing Company
of Maryland;

Reported it without amendment.

The bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Muleg, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
