shall be made on the treasury on account of said claims.

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Vickers from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to pay certain
outstanding debts against the National Road;

Reported it with the following amendment,

Amend section 1, line 4, after 1864, by adding "and also
such other persons who entered the service or furnished sub-
stitutes who were mustered into the service of the United
States and credited to the call of the "President of the 19th
December, 1864.

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred 'the bill entitled, and Act to ratify the
proceedings of the county commissioners of Allegany county
directing William Walsh, trustee of John Callan, late collec-
tor, deceased, to Hell land for delinquent taxes;

Reported said bill ought not to pass.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to repeal sub-
section 5 of chapter 194 of laws of Maryland, passed January
session 1865, entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact sections
5, 26 and 27 of an Act passed January session 1864, chapter
346, entitled an Act to amend article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws relating to the leasing of the State Tobacco ware-
houses and the inspection of tobacco;

Reported it without amendment.
The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to re-
peal section C of article 35, of the Code of Public General
Laws relating to the attendance of judges of elections, and
section 9 of said article, prescribing; the oath of judges of
election, and section 12 of said article, prescribing notice of
elections to be given by the sheriffs of the several counties,
and to re-enact a substitue for each of said sections ;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.
