State of Maryland to request the Hon. Secretary of War to
furnish to the office of the Adjutant General, the rolls of the
38th regiment of colored volunteers, the 1st, 2nd regiments
of colored Cavalry and Battery B, of colored volunteers which
were recruited in the State of Maryland and mustered in the
service of the United States;

Beported it without amendment,

The resolution was then read the 2nd time.

Mr. Jump, from the Select Committee reported a bill en-
titled, an Act to apportion and divide the fees and charges re-
ceived and expenses incurred, by the several State guagers of
casks and inspectors of domestic distilled liquors in Baltimore
city in equal proportions among the said officers;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
summitted the following reportt:

To the Honorable,

The Senate of Maryland:

The Committee on Judicial Proceedings, to which was re-
ferred the petition of B. H. Hanson and others, of Harford
county, for an act to secure to William S. Bowman of said
county a private road or way, either by general or special
enr.ctinent, beg leave to report that they have examined the
subject, and arrived at the conclusion that the case is provided
for by exiting laws. The statute affords ample relief In such
cases, by application to the county commissioners, and if a
party shall be dissatisfied with their judgment, an appeal lies
to the Circuit Court, with the right of trial by jury. The
constitution, also prohibits special legislation in cases provided
for by law.

The committee ask to be discharged from the further con-
sideration of the subject.

Mr.Vickers from, the .Committee on. Judicial Proceedings, to
which was referred the bill entitled an Act to further extend
the time and provisions of the Act passed February 6, 1864
Chapt 15, and March 14, 1864, chap. 373, and the supple-
ments thereto, relating to the payment of bounties to volun-
teers and drafted men of this State;

Reported it with the following amendment:
Add to the third section the following. "Provided that the
whole sum to be drawn from the, treasury under this act shall
