Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The bill entitled, an Act for the better security of the
rights and privileges of the owners of land on the waters of
Queen Anne's and Kent counties;

Was, on motion by Mr. Vickers,
Ordered to lie over.

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Maryland Me-
talic and Chemical Company of Baltimore city;

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Mules,
The Senate adjourned until to-morrow at 11 o'clock.

TUESDAY, March 12, 1867.

Mr. Mules presented the petition of Doct. W. H. Baltzill
and sundry other citizens of Baltimore, remonstrating against
the passage of the law in relation to the election of Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore;

Which was read and referred to the committee on that
subject.

Mr. Mules presented the petition of George H. Hewett and
sundry citizens of Baltimore, protesting against the law in re-
lation to the election of Mayor and City Council of Baltimore;

Which was read and referred to the committee on that sub-
ject.

Mr. Mules presented the petition of Joseph Thompson, a
soldier of the war of 1812, praying a pension;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions,
