the widows ana heirs of deceased soldiers, and to make said
bounties payable to the heirs of such soldiers as have been
honorably discharged after faithful service have died without
receiving the benefit of its provisions.

No. 163. An act for the relief of the securities on the bond
of John D. Nabb, former collector of the State taxes in Tal-
bot county.

No. 164. An act to provide fur the payment of costs in-
curred before Justices of the fence, before appeal shall be
heard from their decisions.

No. 165. An act to pay James Hopkins & Son for cleansing
and restoring portraits of some of the early Governors of
Maryland.

No. 166. An act for the relief of St. Mary's Female Semi-
nary.

No. 167. An act to secure settlement with the County
Commissioners of the several counties, and the Register of
the city of Baltimore for bounty funds paid by the Treasurer
of the State into their hands under act of 1864, chapter 15,
and also with the Maryland State Bounty Commissioners for
the said counties and city respectively, for bounty funds
placed in their hands under the acts of 1865, chapter 33 and
106 respectively.

No. 168. An act to authorize and require the State Treas-
urer, on the warrant of the Comptroller, to pay the court
costs in the various suits instituted or pending in the courts
of this State and the Supreme Court of the United States to
test the validity of the registry law.

No. 169. An act to make valid the acts and proceedings of
of the town commissioners of Rockville, Montgomery county

No. 170. An act to amend an act incorporating the Washing-
ton University of Baltimore, and to establish an hospital to
be styled the Maryland Free Hospital in said city.

No. 171. An act to authorize the commissioners of Charles
county to refund to the heirs of W. H. Williams taxes paid
in error.

No. 172. An act to encourage immigration to the State of
Maryland.

No. 173. An act to incorporate the Allegany Land Com-
