Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, the Act of 1865, chap-
ter 174, entitled, an Act relating to the registration of the vo-
ters of the State, and to enact other provisions relative to the
registration of voters in lieu thereof;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing messages:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 8, 1867.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received from your honorable body the house bill
to repeal and re-enact certain sections of the local laws of Bal-
timore city, entitled "Police," with proposed amendments.
We have concurred in all the amendments except the follow-
ing:

Section 1, line 21, insert after the word "Baltimore" one of
whom shall have been a resident of the first Legislative Dis-
trict, one a resident of the second Legislative District, and
one a resident of the third Legislative District of said city of
Baltimore for at least the term of one year next preceding the
day of his election."

The House having refused to concur in said amendment, we
respectfully request your honorable body to recede therefrom.

Which was read.
Mr. Stirling submitted the following :

Ordered, That the Senate recede from its amendment "sub-
section 806, section -, line 21, one of whom shall have been
a resident of the first Legislative district, one a resident of
the second Legislative district, and one a resident of the third
Legislative district of said city of Baltimore, for at least the
term of one year next proceeding the day of his election."

Which was read and adopted.
