Acts relating to the Police Commissioners of Baltimore city,
and to enact a law to appoint and regulate the Police Com-
missioners for said city, except the following amendment: in
line 21, of section 1, "one of whom shall have been a resi-
dent of the first Legislative district, one a resident of the se-
cond Legislative district, and one a resident of the third Legis-
lative district of said city of Baltimore, for at least the term
of one year next preceeding the day of his election.

The Senate has receded from the said amendment, passed
the bill, and now return it to your House.

Which was read assented to and sent to the House of Die-
gates.

The Senate then receded from said amendment, and the

Gentlemen of the Senate:

The House of Delegates having refused to concur in the
Senate amendments to the House bill entitled, an Act for the
benefit of the Cambridge Female Academy, we respectfully
request your Honorable Body to recede from said amend-
ments.
