AN ACT to pay William Price a sum of money
for legal service rendered the State by direction
of the Governor, and also to pay Daniel R. Ma-
gruder a sum of money for his expenses paid in
obtaining the position of Circuit Judge of the
second Judicial Circuit. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is
hereby directed to issue his warrant on the Treas-
urer for five hundred dollars due William Price,
for legal services rendered the State by the ap-
pointment of the Governor under resolution num-
ber four of the session of eighteen hundred and
sixty-six, also another warrant for two hundred
dollars for legal services rendered the State by the
appointment of the Governor in the case of the
mandamus issued at the instance of Daniel R.
Magruder, against the Governor to try the right
to the Judgeship of the second Judicial Circuit of
this State, and the Comptroller is further directed
to issue his warrant on the Treasurer in favor of
Daniel R. Magruder for two hundred dollars for
counsel fees paid by him in defending his right to
the Judgeship of the said second Judicial Circuit. |

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act
shall take effect from the date of its passage.
