Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Henkle, from the Committee on Internal Improve-
ments, to which, was referred the bill entitled, an Act to in-
corporate and to make a Turnpike Road from the town of
Leitersburg to the town of Smithsburg, in Washington
county;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Henkle from the Committee on Internal Improvements
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act authorizing
the County Commissioners of Worcester county, to accept and
establish as a county road, a road therein described, and mak-
ing said road the division line of that portion of Worcester
and Somerset counties;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Henkle from the Committee on Internal Improvements,
reported a bill entitled, an Act to provide by law for taking
and perpetuating the evidence of the number of persons held
to labor and service in the State of Maryland, and emancipa-
ted by the Constitution adopted in the year 1864, and by
whom such persons were so held;

Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. Stirling, it was

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that if Mr. Stir-
ling had been present when the vote was taken on the motion
of Mr. Stephenson, to reconsider the vote whereby the leave
to introduce a bill to repeal an act passed at the present ses-
sion of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled, an Act
to authorize Acts of Assembly passed at the present session of
the General Assembly to be repealed, and make valid such
