ed, and shall hold, use and dispose of the said
property, real or personal, according to the terms
of the grant, devise or bequest by which the said
property, real or personal, was vested in said cor-
poration. |
May hold real
estate. |
Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That every such cor-
poration, so formed, shall be capable in law of
purchasing, holding and conveying any real or
personal estate whatever, which may be necessary
to enable the said corporation to carry on the ope-
rations named in such certificate. |
Rules and va-
cancies. |
Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That every such cor-
poration, so formed, may make such rules and
regulations consistent with the constitution and
laws of this State and of the United States, as it
may see fit to prescribe for its own organization
and government, and may change the same from
time to time, as it may seem proper and expe-
dient; and the Trustees, Directors or Managers,
who shall be named in the said certificate, shall
supply by election the place or places among the
said Trustees, Managers, or Directors which may
become vacant by death, resignation or otherwise
in their own body, so that the number of twelve
shall always be preserved. |

Sec. 6. Be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money for the
benefit of the Union Orphan Asylum of Balti-
more city. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of eighteen hundred
dollars be and the same is hereby annually ap-
propriated to the Union Orphan Asylum of Balti-
more city for the period of ten years and no
longer. |
