Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. Bowie,

Read the second time by special order, three-fourths con-
curring.

On motion by Mr. Tome,
Said bill was referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to purchase copies of a digest of the decisions con-
struing the statutes of Maryland, of which the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws is composed, with references to the Acts of
Assembly by Lewis Mayer, and to regulate the distribution
of the same ;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read a second time,

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act for the benefit of the Lib-
rary Company of the Baltimore Bar ;

Reported said bill ought not to pass.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to authorize the payment
of bounty to Wm. Wecker, or his order ;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported a bill
entitled, an Act to repeal sections 5 and 8 of the Act passed
at the January session, 1864, chapter 15, entitled, an Act to
aid and encourage enlistments into the Maryland regiments
in the service of the United States; and also to repeal sections
4 and 5, of the Act passed at the January session, 1865,
chapter 33, entitled, an Act to provide bounty for soldiers en-
tering the service of the United States, to fill the quotas of
Maryland under the call of the President of the United
States, of December, 1864, and under further calls ;

Which was read the first time,
On motion by Mr. Earle,

The rules were suspended, and the bill read the second,
and by special order the third time, and passed by yeas and
nays as follow :
