hundred and sixty-seven, and that the Treasurer
of the State be authorized to pay the same to the
President of said Company, upon a warrant of the
Comptroller issued therefore, as soon as this Act
shall take effect.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted. That this Act
shall take effect, upon the President and Directors
of the said library company accepting the condi-
tions prescribed by this Act, and filing a certifi-
cate to that effect in the office of the Court of
Appeals.

CHAPTER 366.

AN ACT making appropriations. for the support
of the Government for the year ending on the
first day of January, eighteen hundred and
sixty-nine.

Passed Mar.
22,1867.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General assem-
bly of Maryland, That for the expenditures in the
support of the Government, for the year ending
on the first day of January, eighteen hundred and
sixty-nine, the following sums of money, or so
much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same
is hereby appropriated, that is to say :

Support of
Government.

STATE'S OFFICERS.

For the salary of the Governor of Maryland,
four thousand dollars; for the salary of the Secre-
tary of State, one thousand dollars; for the salary
of the Comptroller of the Treasury Department,
twenty-five hundred dollars; for the salary of the
Chief Clerk to the Comptroller, fifteen hundred
dollars; for the salary of the First Assistant Clerk
to the Comptroller, twelve hundred dollars; for
the salary of the Second Assistant Clerk to the
Comptroller, one thousand dollars; for the salary
of the Treasurer, twenty-five hundred dollars; for
