pleasure or burthen from passing through said
gate until they have respectively paid the same,
that is to say, for every score of sheep or hogs five
cents, for every score of cattle ten cents, for every
horse three cents, fur all carriages with one horse
five cents, two horse ten cents, four horse twenty
cents, six horse thirty cents, all wagons of bur-
then whose wheels exceed four inches in breadth
shall pay one-half the above rates. |

Sec. 13. And be it enacted, That this company,
during the construction of said road, have the
right to close said road to travel when in their
judgment such travel will work an injury to said
road. |

Sec. 14. And be it enacted, That said company
shall not exercise any banking powers or issue
any paper to be used as currency. |

Sec. 15. And be it enacted. That said company
may at any time hereafter extend their road
through or beyond the town of Smithsburg in the
direction of or as far as Wolfsville, in Frederick
county, in accordance with the provisions of the
previous Act of incorporation, together with
the power to locate the road, erect other toll-gates
and charge tolls at the same rates in regard to
distance as are granted in the said Act. |

shall take effect from the date of its passage. |
