county, to subscribe in behalf of said county, to the capital
stock of the Maryland and Delaware Railroad Company, and
to issue bonds for that purpose;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Jump from the select committee, reported a bill enti-
tled, an Act for the relief the securities on the bond of John
J. Nabb, former collector of State taxes in Talbot county;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

Mr. Kimmel moved a call of the Senate,

The Sergeant-at-Arms was sent to inform the absent Sena-
tors that their attendance was required in the Senate Cham-
ber.

The Sergeant-at-Arms returned and stated that he had no-
tified the absent Senators to attend.

Mr. Maddox asked to be excused from serving as one of the
committee on Mr. Kimmels leave;

Mr. Maddox, was accordingly excused.
Mr. Stephenson, also, asked to be excused;
Determined in the affirmative.

The Chair then appointed Senators Mackall and Brodwater,
as additional members of said committee.

Mr. Kimmel moved to take up for consideration,

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 806, 807, 808,
809,810,811,812,813, 814,815,816, 817,818, 819,820,
821 and 822 of article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
the city of Baltimore, and the additional articles adopted by
the Act of the General Assembly, passed at the session of
1860, chapter 6, the additional sections adopted by the Act of
the General Assembly, at the session of 1860, chapter 46, the
additional sections adopted by the Act of the General Assem-
bly, passed at the session of 1864, chapter 42, the additional
sections adopted by the Act of the same session of 1864,
chapter 244, and the 3rd section of the Act of the session of
1865, chapter 46, for the establishment of a Police force for
the city of Baltimore, and to re-enact with amendments;

On the question being put, it was

Determined in the affirmative by yeas and nays as follow :
