The question being upon the adoption of the following
amendments submitted by the Committee on Judicial Pro-
ceedings,

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In title, in line 3, after the word "Baltimore," strike out
the words "and the additional articles adopted by the Act of
the General Assembly passed at the session of 1860, chapter
6, the additional sections adopted by the Act of the General
Assembly at the session of 1860, chapter 46," and insert in
lieu thereof, the words "and chapter 131, passed at the De-
cember session of 1861 entitled, an Act to repeal sections 806,
807, 809, 810, 811, 815, and 821 of the 4th article of
the Code of Public Local Laws relating to Baltimore, and the
organization of a Board of Police therefor, and to re-enact the
same with amendments, and in line 10, strike out after the
word "and," the words "the third section of; in line 13, after
the word "amendment," insert the words "and to enact the
additional sections 823, 824, 825 and 826.

Which were read and adopted.

Mr. Kimmel submitted the following amendment:

Sub-section 806, sec. 1, line 21, insert after the word Bal-
timore, one of whom shall have been a resident of the first
legislative district; one a resident of the second legislative
district, and one a resident of the third, legislative district of
said city of Baltimore for at least the term of one year, next
preceeding the day of his election.

Mr. Mules submitted the following amendment to the
amendment :

That the office of said Commissioner shall be one of honor
and without pay;
