tificate of the Judges of the Orphans' Court of
the amount found to be due to John T. Edwards,
administrator as aforesaid, then the Comptroller
shall issue his warrant to the Treasurer of the
State of Maryland, authorizing and requiring
him to pay to John T. Edwards the said sum of
money found to be due by the certificate of the
Judges of the Orphans' Court of Allegany Coun-
ty, as follows : One half of said sum on the first
day of May, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven,
and the other half on the first day of May, eigh-teen
hundred and sixty-eight.

To settle ac-
counts of Wil-
liam Hall.

Sec. 3. Be it enacted, That the Orphans'
Court of Allegany County shall be authorized and
required to settle and adjust the claims of William
Hall, former Superintendent of the National Road,
and shall certify to the Comptroller what sum is
found to be due to the said William Hall, and the
Comptroller upon receiving such certificate of in-
debtedness from the Orphans' Court of Allegany
County, authenticated as required by the first sec-
tion of this Act, shall issue his warrant to the
Treasurer of the State of Maryland, authorizing
and requiring him to pay to William Hall the
amount found to be due by said certificate of said
Orphans' Court, as follows : one-half to be paid
on the first day of May, eighteen hundred and six-
ty-seven, and the other half to be paid on the first
day of May, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight;

Proviso.

provided, that the whole sum to be drawn from the
Treasury under this Act, shall not exceed nine
thousand dollars, and that no further demand
shall be made upon the Treasury on account of
said claims.

In force.

Sec. 4. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from its passage.
