said thirty-five thousand dollars shall be expended
pro rata on each mile of said road between the
town of Berlin and the Virginia State line; and
to the Wicomico and Pocomoke Railroad Com-
pany) besides the appropriation made to said
company by the Act of eighteen hundred and
sixty-six, Chapter one hundred and forty-five, the
further sum of four thousand one hundred and
one dollars; provided, the said Treasurer shall
not, at any time, pay upon the State's subscrip-
tion to the capital stock of either of said railroad
companies a greater amount than shall have been
actually paid by other subscribers to the capital
stock of the said companies respectively; and
provided further, that the said Treasurer shall not
pay more than one-fourth of the respective
amounts applied by this Act to the aforesaid rail-
road companies respectively in any one period of
less than sixty days from the first day of March,
eighteen hundred and sixty-seven. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this
Act be and the same are hereby repealed. |

Sec. 3. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage. |

Assembly of Maryland to the bequest of Caro-
line S. Newman, late of Queen Anne's county,
deceased, to the Stewards of the Methodist Epis-
copal Church in Centreville in said county. |

Anne's county, deceased, by her last will and tes-
tament, duly admitted to probate in the office of
